Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Develop space planning concepts, finish specifications, and client presentations.
  • Produce construction drawings, including floor plans, details, and elevations.
  • Collaborate on furniture systems selection process and specifications.
  • Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience, with a focus on commercial or healthcare interiors.
  • Software skills must include high level of fluency with Revit. SketchUp and Affinity are important.
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color, and materials.
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to focus on multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from an accredited school.
  • NCIDQ Certification or Architecture License a plus.

The full-time position offers competitive salary, potential profit bonus, company paid medical and dental coverage, 401K retirement plan, short term and long-term disability insurance. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off. We observe the federal calendar for office closings which is 11 paid holidays including Juneteenth Day. Responsibilities

  • Work together with architectural design teams on projects.
  • Collaborate on projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction drawings and construction administration.
  • Understand design vision and project goals.
  • Develop design concepts and generate construction documents.
  • Work to implement design based upon contractual agreement with client.
  • Support project team coordination for plans, specifications and material selections required for construction.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client and team relationships.
  • Manage consultants to meet overall project objectives.
  • Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Manage the time to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a design team, make immediate contributions and take initiative to complete work.

  • 3- 5 years of experience as an Architectural Designer with a focus on workplace, media + entertainment, science + technology or healthcare projects.
  • Computer skills must include high level of fluency with Revit. Knowledge of Affinity software and SketchUp important.
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including compiling a set of construction drawings.
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.
