Westchester Medical Center is one of the largest regional providers of medical services in Westchester County, NY. As part of their strategic plan to invest in updating their infrastructure, the Labor and Delivery floor became a high priority to attract new patients. BAM worked closely with the doctors, medical staff and the Facilities Group and to understand the goals of the Medical Center.
BAM devised a solution which balanced the hospital’s financial needs with the medical staff’s desire to deliver the highest possible level of medical services. A balance was found between aesthetic considerations and medical efficiency while delivering world class care. This strong collaborative effort resulted in an innovative inpatient room layout which allows the mothers to stay in their room to labor, deliver and keep their newborns. The success of this project further solidified WMC’s position as a premier provider of medical services in the New York regional area.
